Post Prom Tiredness
Saturday morning after getting up at 6:30 a.m. I was almost sure that the rest of the day was going to be terrible. I had to work from 7-12:30 then i was straight off to my hair and make up appointments from 1:15-4. After that racing home to get dressed and add any finishing touches and arriving at my dates house by 5 for the start of pictures. After finishing there my date and I traveled on too our second destination where we took pictures for about 45 minutes with 10 others.
Then we were off to the dance, the night was great and seemed to go by so quickly.
Dancing with all of my friends, eating, taking pictures, and seeing everyone all dressed up, it was just all so wonderful.
After prom was just as great with all of the awesome decorations you could not even tell you were in school. After a long night my group of now 8 went from after prom to the waffle house where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Then we all parted and went our separate ways to our homes where we slept all through the next day.
You always hear that prom is a night you will always remember, and man are they right. My 2009 senior prom was the best of the best and I would not change a thing about it!

Pre Prom Excitement
However, i am very agitated about some events that have occurred.
I went to go pick up my dress yesterday, and my dress alteration lady is not done with it yet. There is a possibility that it might not be done until noon tomorrow! That is not enough time for comfort.
I think it is cool thought, all of our guys are trying to break the "norm" for guys always having to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a tux and they are all just wearing suits. Our dates all took our dresses and went out to get shirts and ties to match, she we will still look great without having to spend a mass amount of money. Girls say it does not seem fair because we spend large amounts of money on our dresses and hair and everything, but do we really need too? Nope, we sure do not! Plus, the guys buy the bids and drive (if they can)!
I am very excited about my flower, my dates mom is making my flower. She is very good at creative art work and i can not wait to see it.
Post Prom Tiredness will be next...

the real world
Prom is just around the corner, and i finially found my dress! I love the beautiful colors, I have been told many times it looks like an art project, and I like that. I went to Southview's prom last saturday, that was okay. I have Bedfords prom this saturday, that will be pretty fun but spending the night with all of my closest friends, i just can not wait!
So writing this short story is going along decently well, I just have no motovation to write it today.
With high school coming to a close I find myself getting very nervous.
Nervous about my grades
Nervous about college
Nervous about what I am going to do with my life,
I hope my plans do not fall through.
On top of my worries I am so thankful.
Some of my teachers have helped me more than they can even imagine!
For example Mr. Ackerman, I do not say these things to suck up, it is really how i feel;
I feel like I am a stronger writer now, and that i can use different words to discribe different things. I used to stick to the simple "she said, he said" and now if I were to go write a page of dialoag I can think of many different words to subsitute for 'said'.
I have learned that my imagination is bigger than even i can imagine, and that if i put my mind to something, I can do it, I can write it, and it will not always turn out wrong.
I have so many teachers that have made a difference in my learning process, and you do not realize it untill its almost over, when you need it the most, and when your about to enter the real world.

What is life?
Life is struggle
Life is complicated
Life is something to big for our understanding
Life is beauty
Life is day, and night
Life is work, and school
Life is full of friendship
and heartbreak
Life is a box of colorful and joyful crayons
Life is a never ending river
of love and compassion
Life is depression
Life is disease and sickness
Life is full of miracles
Life has a path
Life is based on teamwork
and individuality
Life is anything you want it to be
Life is what you make it.

A Fresh Look;
A New way to look at things, through someone else's work. There are a variety of different poems on this blog cite that I believe are very meaningful and have a very good way to look at things. They are very well written and everything is very well said. One specific poem, accra is very interesting, and makes you think about the different ways people act and look, and how different things are along with the different emotions that can be felt.
Another poem about The Flowing Water has allitercy and flows very well. It talks about water and the way it can flow. I get from it that it is bringing a calm emotion.
Most of the poems on this site describe varrious things around this person. Wether it may people people in his/her life or if it is someone that they are thinking about meeting. There is not just one theme to the poems, some are happy, some are sad, and some are about love.

First Poem;
I am bubbly
Floating high with no cares
Not too much time before i pop.
I shine
With the warmth of the sun radiating from my face.
Shyness
Coming up through my toes,
Not showing my true insides.
A lamb
Calm, gentle, compassionate.
Gracefully prancing with the gazelle
Baton in my hand
No thoughts running through my head.
The wind in my hair
The fan chilling my bones.
I am the school bell
Waiting to burst with color.
I am who I am,
Take me or leave me.
The is my first poem that i am posting on my first blog, that makes me feel somewhat nervous. My poem took a lot of time to write, this is because it took my true feelings and emotions and wrote about them. I may come off to different people (personality wise) in different ways and this is the real me, the real Jess. I have a lot of energy and a lot of personality, but I can also by shy and calm.
I am very outgoing and bubbly and have a very colorful personality.
I also am a baton twirler, and I compete in twirling that is how I have my baton in hand. While I compete I get really into it and show my real emotions and do not have any other thoughts going through my head. I smile a lot, I am always happy so the warmth radiating off of my face is not only my smile but it is hinting that I like warm weather and that I am a deep, kind, and warm hearted person.
I finish my poem up with saying that I am who I am, and you can take me or leave me. This is because I am who I am and I am not going to change for anyone. I get along with almost everyone, and i love being around people and being friendly.

About Me;
I am a current Northview Majorette and involved many clubs in Northview High School. I have a job at the Sundown Cantina [a mexican resturant] and i love it there. My favorite color is goose-berry purple and orange is a close second. My absolute favorite television show is HOUSE! I watch it just about everyday! I am not a huge movie fan but i do go see them when i find one interesting. I go to a lot of sport events at school, especially the hockey games. If I could have started to play any sport when i was younger I would have wanted to grow to be a female hockey player. I have many friends from many different schools that i have met through my youth group which is also called Dijon. I love the sun and go on vacations with my family to warm areas.
My dream vacation is to go to Africa, for many different reasons.
I care more about my family and friends than i do myself and I hear a lot that, that is not a very good thing but that is just how I am.
I have a deep fear of the dark and this is becasue i am partially color blind, I do not share that with many people though.
Well i have finished my first blog, and now it is time to post...
